Lovely vintage Vega Banjo Mandolin, Little Wonder model, VGC, matching serial numbers on pot and dowel - 42306, circa 1920s, with the original hard shell case (Goldsmith's - The case has a separation on part of the bottom veneer - it's all there and solid nonetheless - handle and latches work). It's the best action and playablility I've seen on a banjo mandolin. Strings at the 12th fret are between 2 and 3/32nds from the fret board. 10 and 1/8' pot, good skin head. Compensated bridge and new GHS Banjo-Mandolin strings. Nickle plating is in excellent condition. The peghead has one wedge shaped piece of missing veneer (non-structural issue - see photo), there's some scuffing on the black finish on the rim of the pot, a re-glued break in the tortoise shell rim binding - other than that, the instrument is in VG to EC condition.

Aug 23, 2016 - The photos of this beautiful 1930 Vega Little Wonder sum up any. The maple neck and rim have the same serial number (94627) which dates. In original condition, a vintage 4 string style N Vega banjo with original carry case. Serial number is 68724. The banjo is in very good to fine condition and and the patent date is 1901 (and is impressed on the chrome).
