Went to install Splinter cell Chaos theory on my Windows 7 7100 machine to play some Co-op with a friend and it seems that it is unable to be played on Windows 7. I've tried all the compatibility modes and did some searches but no one offers any concrete solutions to get it working. I've patched the game to the latest version which is 1.5 and when i try to run the.exe it says 'Error. This application can be launched with a release version of Microsoft 95 OSR2/ME/NT/2000.XP / Server 2003 only.

How to run splinter cell chaos theory on vista 2

Has anyone had success installing and playing this game on a windows 7 machine??

Update: runs just fine!!! Easy laser d450 manual. Atfirst trackmania nations didnt run, but downloaded the game update, and also the starforce update from there offical site and all is well.

Critical Nobody has a new video on the portable versions of Splinter Cell and it's great. The Ubisoft is the developer and Toronto is the publisher of this game. This game had released in August 2013 for Microsoft Windows, PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Wii U and Xbox 360. Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell Blacklist PC game is the 6th instalment of the Tom Clancy’s Splinter Cell series.

I clicked to intall the starforce update but it asked me to reboot my PC so I said no. So I dont belive its even been isntalled yet. So maybe just the game update is needed.

Id get both tho to be safe. Edit2: did more testing ran the built in benchmark at max settings on vista and xp.

Vista default: 50.1 fps vista with desktop comp and visual themes off: 51.8 fps XP 65.3 fps Vista is definitely a kill on performance. Game feels the same on both and believe it or not it 'sounds' better on Vista to me, probably something to do with my sound drivers. I was expecting the opposite with vista to be higher because the game loaded faster on Vista and felt faster. Platform was XP SP2 vs Vista Ultimate x64 Geforce 7800GTX with the newest drivers for each OS AMD Opterone 148 @ 2.8ghz 2gb DDR500 Mushkin Ram @ 3-4-3-8 I only tested TMN because its a free game, if sombody has a copy of splinter cell for me I'll gladly test it too. Well I tried SC: Double Agent. It did NOT work, even with the latest Star-Force drivers. Hopefully there will be an update soon that will fix this, otherwise I'll eventually revert to Windows XP.

Nevertheless, Star-Force is the worst. Anyways, I settled for Splinter Cell: Double Agent. It works on Vista, although it's kinda buggy. Sometimes it crashes and the drivers I'm using seem a little inadequate (MBP & Boot Camp 1.3 Beta). It's still pretty good; I've played the first 4 levels (approximately 2 hours) and it has been enjoyable.

I didn't want to answer my own post, and hopefully someone else will find a way to make Chaos Theory work on Vista, but until then Double Agent looks good.let me know, peace.
