The manual says that:the pinout on the battery end is as follows: 1 - Shut Down RS-232 Input or Smart Mode RS-232 Data Rx In 2 - Line Fail RS-232 Output or Smart Mode RS-232 Data Tx Out 3 - Normally Open Line Fail Signal 4 - Common 5 - Normally Open Low Battery Signal 6 - Normally Closed Line Fail Signal 7 - UPS Turn-on/Turn-off Input 8 - Unregulated +24 Vdc Output 9 - Chassis Clearly the rest of the pins you did not specify, have to be connected to something on the computer end. Could you clarify that?
